Salt is good

Salt is one of those things we take for granted today, kind of like clean air.  We only notice it when it’s not there anymore.

“Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again?”  Mark 9:50a

For most of us, that verse makes little sense.  How can salt lose it’s saltiness?  What is Jesus talking about? (more…)

Blessed blameless ways

“Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.
Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart–
they do no wrong but follow his ways.

How can a young person stay on the path of purity?  By living according to your word.
I see you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
